Discover Czechia: Contrary to popular belief, there is more than Prague and Prague Castle in this country.
For example Brno, known for its modernist buildings and the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, Marienbad (Mariánské Lázne), became a watering place in 1818, Pilsen, more a watering hole, known for specializing in bottom-fermented beer since 1842. And there is Karlštejn Castle, in Central Bohemia, founded in 1348 CE by Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor-elect and King of Bohemia. The Sedlec Ossuary, a Gothic chapel with its garlands of human skulls.
And the country is home to 12 World Heritage Sites (see below). |
